Plastic pallets for the chemical industry

Strict rules and quality controls are the norm in the chemical industry. Our plastic CP pallets and heavy pallets are made to meet them, time after time.

The challenge

Chemical products are often transported in bags, big bags, octabins or drums. A nail or splinter can tear open the packaging, resulting in product loss or a dangerous situation. In addition, many chemical companies work with automated lines that require consistent dimensions. And sometimes pallets have to be used in controlled environments.

Why plastic pallets?

  • Resistant to moisture and chemical substances. Plastic does not absorb liquid and does not rot.
  • No nails or splinters. Your packaging stays intact and your product stays clean.
  • Dimensionally stable with a consistent weight. Ideal for palletising robots and roller conveyors.
  • As strong as wood, but with a much longer service life.
  • Circular: made from recycled plastic and fully recyclable at the end of its life.

Our recommended pallets

Q-Pall was one of the pioneers of plastic CP pallets. The CP1 and CP6 of 1200 x 1000 mm are suitable for bagged goods and boxes. The CP3 and CP9 of 1140 x 1140 mm are made for drums, octabins and big bags. For large bagged-goods pallets, there is the 1300 x 1100 mm size. For sea containers, choose the light pallet of 760 x 1140 mm.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which pallet do I use for big bags or drums?

For big bags, octabins and drums, the square sizes are the most suitable: CP3 or CP9 in 1140 x 1140 mm, or a pallet of 1200 x 1200 mm. For heavy loads, choose heavy.

Are plastic pallets resistant to chemicals?

HDPE and PP are resistant to moisture and many chemical substances. Do you work with aggressive substances or solvents? Then ask us about the suitability for your specific substance.

Why are chemical companies switching from wood to plastic?

Plastic pallets have no nails or splinters that damage bags and big bags. They leave no wood fibres in your product, have a consistent weight and last much longer. This makes them suitable for automatic palletising lines.
