Retailers are looking for logistics that are both efficient and sustainable. Pallets must be hygienic, fit into automated DCs and need as little replacement and maintenance as possible. On the shop floor, presentation also counts.
Together with IBM Consulting, we developed a smart, green pallet for the French retailer Auchan. 50,000 plastic Euro pallets can report their location, temperature and shocks. This gives Auchan more insight into the chain and helps reduce food waste. A pallet is no longer just a carrier, but a source of data.
For the shop floor, there are display pallets of 600 x 400 and 600 x 800 mm. For distribution, choose a Euro pallet of 1200 x 800 mm in medium or heavy.
