Why plastic in the chemical industry?

In the chemical industry, safety and product quality come first. Plastic CP pallets help with this:

  1. Fewer weak points. An injection-moulded pallet has no loose boards or joints.
  2. No nails and splinters. Your bags, drums and big bags stay intact and your product stays clean.
  3. Long service life. Plastic CP pallets last many years in normal use.
  4. Clean and dimensionally stable. They do not absorb moisture and have a constant weight. So they work well on palletising lines and roller conveyors.
  5. Circular. At the end of its service life, the pallet is fully recyclable.

Medium or heavy?

The medium CP pallets are for normal loads and floor storage. The heavy CP pallets carry up to 7,500 kg static, up to 2,200 kg dynamic and up to 1,375 kg in racking. Not sure? On our page about load capacity you can read how to choose the right value.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does CP stand for?

CP stands for Chemical Pallet. The CP pallets were originally developed to standardise the range of pallets in the European chemical and plastics industry. There are nine types, from CP1 to CP9.

What is the difference between CP1 and CP6?

Both are 1200 x 1000 mm. A CP1 has 3 runners. A CP6 has a base that runs all the way round, also called a perimeter base. The same applies to CP3 (3 runners) and CP9 (perimeter base) in 1140 x 1140 mm.

Why a plastic CP pallet instead of wood?

A plastic CP pallet has no nails, splinters or loose boards that damage your packaging or product. It does not absorb moisture, is dimensionally stable and lasts for years. At the end of its service life, it is fully recyclable.
