Plastic pallets for pooling

In a pool, several parties share the same pallets and use them again and again. That calls for pallets that are strong, dimensionally stable and usable for many years.

Why plastic in a pool?

In a pool, a pallet circulates dozens or hundreds of times. Then its service life counts for more than the purchase price. Plastic pallets:

  • have fixed dimensions for automated processes at all participants;
  • have no splinters, nails or warping, unlike wood;
  • are fully recyclable and circular;
  • have a consistent weight and consistent quality;
  • are available directly from stock in the popular sizes.

Q-Pall and the Dutch beverage pool

For Drankenpallet Beheer Nederland, the pool of the Dutch beverage industry, we will produce at least one million pallets at our factory in Balk up to 2034. It is the largest Dutch order since Q-Pall was founded in 2005.

Our recommended pallets

The Ultra pallet of 1200 x 1000 x 165 mm is made for open and closed pools. It has anti-slip on the top and bottom and carries up to 1,375 kg in pallet racking. For pools in Euro pallet size, choose a heavy pallet of 1200 x 800 mm.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is pallet pooling?

In pooling, pallets are shared and reused between different parties. A pool operator takes care of issuing, collecting, inspecting and repairing the pallets. This lowers costs, optimises logistics and is more sustainable than single-use pallets.

What makes a pallet suitable for a pool?

Any pallet can be a pool pallet, as long as it meets the requirements of the pool: a long service life, fixed dimensions, a consistent weight and suitability for the processes of all participants.

Which sizes are pooled most often?

Mainly 1200 x 800 mm (Euro pallet), 1200 x 1000 mm and 600 x 400 mm.
