In fast order picking and transport processes, a load shifts easily, especially with smooth boxes, trays or bags. An anti-slip deck provides more grip between pallet and load. That gives you four benefits:
The new generation of medium pallets has a closed top deck with integrated anti-slip strips. They are available in 1200 x 800 mm on 3 runners and in 1200 x 1000 mm on 3 or 5 runners. They carry 6,000 kg static, 1,500 kg dynamic and 750 to 1,000 kg in racking.
For the heaviest applications, there is the Ultra pallet of 1200 x 1000 x 165 mm. It has anti-slip on top and bottom and carries up to 1,375 kg in pallet racking. The Ultra pallet was developed together with major beverage brands and is made for pools and automated warehouses.

Anti-slip is not a legal requirement, but you are responsible for securing your load safely. Anti-slip helps prevent boxes or bags from shifting during transport and on roller conveyors, especially with smooth packaging.
The top deck contains strips of a rubber-like material (TPE). This creates extra friction between pallet and load. The Ultra pallet also has anti-slip on the underside, so the pallet itself is less likely to shift.
The new models are medium pallets with a closed anti-slip deck: 1200 x 800 mm on 3 runners and 1200 x 1000 mm on 3 or 5 runners. There is also the heavy Ultra pallet of 1200 x 1000 mm with anti-slip on top and bottom.
