Light pallets are designed to use as little material as possible while still being strong enough for transport. That makes them affordable and lightweight. A nestable Euro pallet weighs just over 5 kg. The models with 9 feet slide into each other when empty. The models with 3 runners are more stable on roller conveyors.
Typical applications
Export: plastic is exempt from ISPM 15, so you do not need to have anything treated.
Air freight: every kilo saved counts.

Floor storage: you can stack loaded pallets on the floor within the static load.
Extra stability with runners
You can click runners onto the nestable pallets with 9 feet. This gives you a stable pallet with 3 runners at the destination, while the pallets can be delivered nested.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a light plastic pallet carry?
Most light pallets carry 2,500 kg static and 1,000 kg dynamic. The light 600 x 800 mm display pallet carries 500 kg static. Light pallets are not intended for pallet racking.
When do I choose a light pallet?
When the pallet does not come back, when weight matters (for example with air freight) or when you want to store empty pallets compactly. For internal transport with many movements or storage in racking, medium or heavy is a better choice.
Can a light pallet go into racking?
No. Light pallets have no racking load rating. If you want to store in racking, choose a medium or heavy pallet with runners.
