1100 x 1100 mm is one of the six pallet sizes in the international ISO 6780 standard. It is also the common square format in Asia, including Japan and Korea. Companies that ship to or buy from these markets therefore use it to keep one pallet format throughout the supply chain. As a light pallet, it keeps the shipping weight low, which helps to limit freight costs on export shipments. What is more, a plastic pallet needs no heat treatment or stamp under the ISPM 15 standard for wood packaging. That makes this 1100x1100 light pallet with 9 feet a practical choice for export.

The static load of 2,500 kg applies when the pallet rests on a flat, level floor, for example in block stacking. In contrast, the dynamic load of 1,000 kg applies when a forklift or pallet truck lifts and moves the loaded pallet. Q-Pall does not specify this pallet for unsupported pallet-rack storage. Therefore, store it on the floor or on a fully supporting surface.

All values assume an evenly distributed load. Point loads or uneven loading reduce the usable capacity, so always check the pallet against your actual load.

The open deck lets moisture drain away and allows air to circulate around the load. Furthermore, the nine feet make the pallet nestable: empty pallets fit into each other, which saves space in storage and on return transport. At 6.8 kg, one person can easily lift and position the pallet. The pallet consists of a mix of HDPE, PP and LDPE, does not absorb moisture and has no nails or splinters.
