Is a 1200 x 800 mm plastic pallet the same as an EPAL Euro pallet?

The size is the same, so the pallet fits the same racking, trucks and roller conveyors. However, a plastic pallet is not part of the EPAL exchange system for wooden pallets. That is why plastic pallets are mainly used in closed loops, pools, internal transport and export.

How many 1200 x 800 mm plastic pallets fit in a truck?

A standard 13.6 metre trailer holds 33 pallets of 1200 x 800 mm side by side on the floor. Nestable pallets take up much less space when empty, so you transport many more empty pallets per trip.

Which 1200 x 800 pallet is suitable for pallet racking?

Choose a medium or heavy pallet with 3 runners and a racking load that is higher than the weight of your load. Our medium pallets go up to 750 kg in racking, our heavy and hygienic pallets up to 1,750 kg. Light pallets with feet are not suitable for racking.

The standard for European logistics

1200 x 800 mm is the size of the Euro pallet. According to EPAL, more than 450 million wooden Euro pallets are in circulation in Europe. Warehouses, pallet racking, trucks and order picking processes are designed around this size. It is also one of the six pallet sizes in the international standard ISO 6780. With a plastic pallet in this size, you simply work within your existing processes, but without splinters, nails and moisture problems.

Light, medium or heavy in 1200 x 800 mm

Light: lightweight and nestable for export

The light pallets with 9 feet are nestable. When empty, you slide them into each other, which saves a lot of space in storage and return transport. They weigh around 5 kg and carry 2,500 kg static and 1,000 kg dynamic. A plastic pallet also needs no heat treatment under ISPM 15, so these pallets are ideal for export. Do you want extra stability? Medium: the all-rounder

The medium pallets with 3 runners are the best choice for internal transport, distribution and light racking storage. They carry 5,000 to 6,000 kg static and up to 750 kg in racking. The new anti-slip version with closed deck provides extra grip on roller conveyors and means less stretch film.

Heavy: for intensive use and racking storage

For heavy loads and high racking, choose a heavy pallet. These carry up to 7,500 kg static, up to 1,750 kg dynamic and up to 1,750 kg in racking. In this size you will also find the H1 pallet and hygienic pallets for the food industry.
