1200 x 1000 mm is one of the six pallet sizes in the international ISO 6780 standard and many people call it the industrial pallet format. Industry and companies in the United Kingdom use it widely. In addition, it matches the CP1 and CP6 formats of the chemical industry. In cleanrooms, pallets must not release particles such as wood fibres or splinters. A plastic pallet meets that need, and you can clean it before it enters the controlled area. What is more, a plastic pallet needs no heat treatment or stamp under the ISPM 15 standard for wood packaging. The static load of 7,500 kg applies when the pallet rests on a flat, level floor, for example in block stacking. In contrast, the dynamic load of 1,500 kg applies when a forklift or pallet truck lifts and moves the loaded pallet. Finally, the racking load of 1,250 kg applies when only the rack beams support the pallet.

All values assume an evenly distributed load. For the racking load, Q-Pall uses a test protocol with 25 kg bags. Point loads or uneven loading reduce the usable capacity, so always check the pallet against your actual load.
