Within this project, Brightlands Materials Center and Witcom bring in their advanced technology to recycle fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, aiming for minimal quality loss and maximum circularity. The waste fibers are supplied by project partner Eurocarbon.
Q-Pall is responsible for evaluating and testing the resulting composite materials in sustainable pallets made from recycled material. By assessing these new materials for usability and performance in logistics environments, we help unlock the potential of a new circular alternative.
The SCOPAC consortium represents a new, sustainable value chain in which waste is no longer the end point but a raw material for high-quality applications. Brightlands Materials Center is also working on scaling up the technology to 200 tons per year, aiming for a scalable circular business model within the Netherlands and Europe.
